News

Just to quickly update you on my status (!) – I had a meeting with a consultant last Tuesday who was sufficiently worried about my arm to ask me to come back in the morning for further tests.  I was admitted to Altnagelvin hospital the next evening for exploratory surgery and this was followed up with a MRI scan (not a pleasant experience for someone given to claustrophobia!).  Neither the surgery nor the MRI showed any reason why I’ve lost the function of my left bicep but the consensus is that there’s nerve damage which should heal completely in weeks or months.  I’m hoping for the former timescale.  In any case, I’m back at work full time again so if you’ve been holding off on contacting me for anything please don’t hesitate to get in touch.  Daisy is due to get a sibling at some point over the next 3-4 weeks so there could be some further disruption but I’ll be happy with that kind!
